SERVICES
Well, its been over a year (and many thousand concerts), since Southern
Gospel Review launched the searchable Southern Gospel Concert Database.
The SGM Concert Database is at:
http://www.networkessentials.com/sgdbslct.html
If your group or artist has an upcoming concert that isn't listed, you may
add that information to the database at:
http://www.networkessentials.com/sgdbnsrt.html
As with other services from Southern Gospel Review (see below), this is a
FREE listing service.
As Southern Gospel Review enters its second year, we have added a new service
to web sites who would like a "Verse Of The Day" displayed on their page(s).
By adding a few lines of HTML to a web page, the SGR provided VerseOfTheDay
image will be displayed on that web page. We use verses from the King James
Bible and there is no fee for this FREE service. To sign up for
VerseOfTheDay, or see an example go to:
http://www.networkessentials.com/votdsnup.htm
We also host the music page of Karen Cox. He songs always bless us, as I'm
sure they will you. Words to many of her songs are at:

RECENT CONCERTS
We were recently able to attend the "Christians' Alternative To Halloween"
concert produced by Ray Flynn Promotions. We only got a little lost finding
the Lawerence Joel Vetern's Memorial Colosium in Winston-Salem, North
Carolina. Once we arrived, we quickly found a parking spot and hot-footed
it to the entrance. We we're the only late arrivals, but there were many,
many, MANY folks there before us. About 16,000.
After The Livingstons opened, 3 For 1 took the stage. This young group from
eastern North Carolina ... well ... they blessed my socks off. Then my wife
made me put my socks (and shoes) back on.
As group after artist after group followed, from the Ruppes to the Issacs,
to the Crabb Family, to Tony Gore and Majesty, to Michael Combs, to the
Primitive Quartet, to The Hoppers we had church.
Half way through the singing, Pastor Bruce Freeman from Peace Haven Baptist
Chruch (on Booger Swamp Road) brought a stirring message about 'Three Calls'.
It is my understanding that his home church has the message on tape,
although we have not confirmed this. He finished his message with an alter
call. The alter was full. And deep. Many souls came to know the Lord that
night, and had their futures changed for all eternity.
We laughed. We cried. We were blessed. We had church. We are now looking
forward to bringing in the new year, again at LJVM.
