Using The CDs with Chessbase Light

Here's how I downloaded and use Chessbase Light to access the games on the CDs

Step 1.     Download the Chessbase Light program.
            a.) browse to The Chessbase Home Page
            b.) select > DOWNLOAD from the top of the screen
            c.) from the column on the left select ChessBase Light
            d.) save the zip file to your local machine
            e.) if you don't have an unzipper program, there is also a link for WinZip
            f.) unzip the file you just downloaded and run the executable (cblight.exe)
                as with anything downloaded from the internet, you are responsible for  
                protecting your PC from viruses, etc.

Step 2.     Installing ChessBase Light
            a.) select the appropriate response for each panel during the install. when complete
                there will be a ChessBase Light entry under START => ALL PROGRAMS.

Step 3.     Using ChessBase Light to access the games
            a.) from the desktop browse to START => ALL PROGRAMS => CHESSBASE LIGHT
            b.) double click the ChessBase Light selection
            c.) answer the questions about languages, etc, and click [OK]
            d.) [CLOSE] the pop-up about no databases installed yet and click the [OK] pop-up
            e.) from the ChessBase Light session, click 'File' -> 'Database' and then browse to 
                the location where the games are located.
            f.) select the ECO game collection and click [OK]
            g.) double click on the loaded game collection. you can then select the game you wish 
                to examine

Step 4.     Enjoy!
