Lost on sin's dark lonely path, I could not see the light; Alone and scared of everything, I struggled through the night. Thinking I could go no more, a voice spoke to my heart. I knew it was not of this world, it soon set me apart. Chorus I hear a sweet voice; it tenderly says, return, return, return. It's calling me to my home of rest, " Oh, weary soul return! ". I've wandered and strayed for way too long, it's time to go and rest. I hear a sweet voice- it tenderly says- " Return unto rest, my soul." Making mistakes along this path has caused my heart to grieve. Jesus is there with open arms to bring me sweet relief. There's nothing that I've ever done that He cannot forgive. His blood, it covers everything so through Him I can live. ( Chorus ) While traveling on this path below, the message is so clear. His voice is telling me each day, the end is very near. This restlessness down in my soul will soon vanish away, And then I'll spend eternity with Jesus, ever to stay. ( Chorus ) By Karen Cox
