When I See Jesus

When Jesus came to earth, birthed into mortal flesh,
His disciples saw Him mocked, cursed, even facing death.
They saw Him humble, meek and lowly, with no place to call His own,
They saw Him stand before accusers, rejected and alone.

Chorus;
But when I see Jesus, I'll see Him as a King,
All honor, all glory, all power I will sing.
When my faith becomes sight I'll forget all suffering,
When I see Jesus, I'll see Him as a King.

Today the world still sees Him as the same,
Some cursing, some mocking and rejecting His Name.
They won't bow in faith before Him, and believe that He is Lord.
They still see Him as a threat, and to accept they can't afford.

( Chorus )
