Search Me, Oh God

At times I have tried to do things on my own
Apart from your love and wisdom I've gone
But you guide me back to your perfect will
I'm here before you , wounded and still.

Chorus
Search me, Oh God, You know my ways
You know my thoughts and what's in my heart,
Lead me today, the way I should go,
Search me, Oh God, while I'm here below,

You know when I'm up, and know when I'm down
In everything your Grace does abound,
This road that I travel you've already trod,
What joy that does bring, knowing you are my God!

( Chorus)

Sometimes when I pray, your presence I feel
Knowing just what to ask before you I kneel
Then times they do come when darkness enshrouds
But your light shines through in the midst of the clouds.

(Chorus)
