I Have Exceeding Joy

The Lord has brought me through some dark and lonely times.
In His strength alone- some mountains I have climbed.
While going through these trials, I know my faith has grown,
By God's amazing Grace, sweet victory I have known.

I have exceeding joy. It now is so clear.
I have exceeding joy- The Lord was ever near.
While standing here on top, looking down below,
I now can say with perfect peace, " I have exceeding joy !"

This joy I have today is not without a price.
Jesus died for me - a perfect sacrifice.
I'll take my Savior's cross and bear along the way.
No words could e'er describe the joy I have today.
